The 83rd Anniversary Show of the Wheeling Jamboree at WVA University in Morgantown, WV 

 

Darnell Miller, a three decade performer with The Wheeling Jamboree will be performing live at the Wheeling Jamboree at the Creative Arts Center located on the Campus of the West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV on Friday evening,  April 1st, 2016. Show starts at 7:30 pm local time.  Darnell is recognized as the Present Day Patriarch of the Jamboree where his career on the Jamboree spanned over 30 years!

Prior to the Jamboree, Darnell Miller’s recording career dates back to the late 1950s where he recorded for Starday records.  In the mid-1960s he was brought to the attention of Cowboy Movie Star, Gene Autry who owned Challenge Records.  Autry signed Darnell to a one year contract which turned into an additional two years.

Older country music fans will remember Darnell from local WHIS TV in Bluefield, VA where he was a regular on the RFD and Country Jamboree Saturday evening shows.  Younger fans will know him from the “Voice Activated”, “Timeless” and “Certified Country” CDs along with his growing internet presence via his website, facebook and YouTube.

Miller has made guest appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and many of the syndicated TV shows.  He has taken his classic country music to 23 of the states and 4 of the Canadian provinces.  Presently, his music can be heard on a variety of  internet and independent radio stations throughout the world.  More information is available by going to www.darnellmiller.com.
